00:00 | My name is Rubén Suárez Flores, I am from the Chiquitano Monkóx indigenous nation, I have my own language, which is [called] Bésiro. 

00:11 | That is recognized for now, again, in the Political Constitution of the [Bolivian] State. 

00:18 | I live in the Chiquitania area in the Ñuflo de Chávez province. 

00:23 | Within the TCO (Indigenous territory) Monteverde, because here we have demanded a joint territory between three centrals: the SIC in Concepción, to which I belong to, the PSICOL in Lomerío, which is another municipality, and the SIPPAY conec in San Javier. 

00:45 | So we have demanded a territory of approximately 744,440 hectares, almost a million. So that’s where we live. 

00:57 | We are 13 recently created communities, right? We have founded our community in 2006 and so I supported the founding [process] of other communities within the territory. 

01:10 | The first community I founded was Monte Olivo, around 1997 or so. [Later] I founded the community of Río Blanco, within the indigenous territory of Monteverde, the TCO. 

01:23 | And then I founded my community, Santísima Trinidad. And then lastly, the indigenous community within the territory is the community ’16 de Julio’ 

01:34 | And then the other indigenous community is the ‘Nonenka’ community and that is [means] Tajibo (name of a tree), that was recently created. And the last one that we are currently processing for its legal status is the ‘Cuchi’ community, it is a fairly hard tree, because there is abundance in that place, so we have named it the ‘Cuchi’ community. 

01:59 | That’s right, it’s a community of pure young people. 

02:02 | We no longer enter with them. Only young people and right now I have also prepared their development plan as a community. 

02:12 | The community is in the process of being built and now they are with a livestock project, right? also financed with a government counterpart. So it is like that now, well, we have to grow organically, responsibly. 

02:29 | All this experience that I have gained, I am putting into practice with my brothers from the neighboring communities.

00:23 | Dentro de la TCO [Tierra Comunitaria de Origen] Monteverde, porque acá nosotros hemos demandado un territorio mancomunado entre tres centrales: la SIC de Concepción, al cual pertenezco, la PSICOL de Lomerío, que es otro municipio, y las SIPPAY conec de San Javier.

00:57 | Somos 13 comunidades de reciente creación ¿no? Nosotros hemos fundado nuestra Comunidad en el 2006 y así yo apoyé a fundar también otras comunidades dentro del territorio ¿no? 

01:10 | La primera comunidad que fundé fue Monte Olivo, más o menos del 97 [1997] más o menos. [Después] fundé la Comunidad de Río blanco, dentro del territorio indígena de Monteverde, la TCO. 

01:23 | Y después fundé mi comunidad, Santísima Trinidad. Y luego último la comunidad indígena dentro del territorio es la comunidad ‘16 de julio’ 

01:34 | Y después la otra comunidad indígena es la comunidad ‘Nonenka’ y eso es [significa] tajibo, eso ya es más de reciente creación. Y el último que ahorita estamos tramitando su personería jurídica es la comunidad del ‘Cuchi’, es un árbol bastante duro, porque hay abundancia en ese lugar entonces le hemos puesto la comunidad del ‘Cuchi’. 

01:59 | Ahí es, es una comunidad de puro jóvenes ¿no? 

02:02 | Ya nosotros no entramos con ellos. Puro jóvenes y ahorita también les he elaborado su plan de desarrollo integral de la comunidad. 

02:12 | Está en proceso de construcción de la comunidad y ahora están con un proyecto ganadero ¿no? también financiado con contraparte del Gobierno. Entonces es así ahora pues, hay que crecer de manera orgánica, de manera responsable. 

02:29 | Ahora toda esta experiencia que he ganado, entonces yo estoy poniendo en práctica con mis hermanos de las comunidades vecinas.
